And so it Begins Again

I managed to get even more work finished today, the more this illness is disappearing the more energy and motivation I seem to be finding, not only did I get a lot of work done today, but I also spent a lot of time looking at a number of football leagues in London and sent off emails to about 12 teams.

I received replies from about half of them inviting me to training sessions in January, they are all Sunday teams, if Poplar United are not going to register me (and only play me under false names when they are ultra desperate) then I’m sure I’ll find another team happy to let someone play for them who might not be the best footballer in the world, but more than makes up for this by being 100% committed and 100% reliable. I can’t remember the last time I missed a game of football, I’ve arrived and got changed on the side of the pitch before while everyone was waiting to kick off.

I don’t believe I will ever lose this urge to play football, I often joke to people that I will die playing football and although we have a chuckle about it I actually think a lot of people agree with me.

A good excuse to go out tomorrow and get myself a pair of football goggles that I have been wanting for many a year.

I am running the 2018 London Marathon to raise money for Livability UK in memory of my dad. If you can I'd appreciate any donation you can spare.
