Football Goggles in a Haystack

Today I ventured out in order to get myself a pair of football goggles, I can’t play football anymore without glasses, as I can’t see what I’m doing, and heading the ball with these glasses is breaking them and cutting my face.

Bethnal Green Road and Roman Road between them have SIX opticians and not one of them could help me, in fact when I told them what I wanted they all looked at me like I have just asked them for a little play with their bollocks/tits, all except my normal opticians because they were closed.

I’m going to have to wait until January 2nd when my opticians opens and ask them for my prescription so I can go online and order from a website, which will take 6-8 weeks to arrive so I should have my glasses just in time for the end of the fucking season.

I swear it is easier to find an immigration attorney (abogado de inmigracion) in Spain during a siesta then to buy a pair of these things in a physical shop, no wonder shops are closing down all over the place.

It wasn’t a completely wasted day, I went into Cash Convertors and bought a copy of Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker DVD for £1, a film which I have managed to go 35 years without seeing.

I am running the 2018 London Marathon to raise money for Livability UK in memory of my dad. If you can I'd appreciate any donation you can spare.
