Despite a hangover that could fell an elephant I managed to make my way over to Wanstead Flats this afternoon to watch the team I trained with on Friday get hammered 13-0. It was rather hurtful that they have deemed me not good enough to play for their team, a team that was lucky to only lose 13-0 today.
Despite the crushing realisation that I probably won’t get to play football again, at least I am involved in two training sessions a week so I’ll still be able to play some kind of football, we must take the positives where we find them.
I popped into The Hare for a couple of pints as the pub is closing for a week for refurbishment and I have a sneaky feeling that the pub is going to be changed for the worse and this would be my last time to enjoy an hour or two in there. I hope they don’t change it too much, but update pictures posted on Facebook show the entire bar is being replaced and that is just for starters apparently.
Why must people change things that are working perfectly fine? 🙁
I am running the 2018 London Marathon to raise money for Livability UK in memory of my dad. If you can I'd appreciate any donation you can spare. http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/deansaliba
