Around this time of the year I always seem to succumb to the dreaded bout of flu that hits this country. I guess I should be happy that is clears up for me before Christmas Day because being ill then would be an absolute nightmare.
Not that I enjoy the day, but being ill would make it less tolerable with the kids running around the place. None of them are my kids either, just kids that belong to family members who drop in. Next year I’m looking at taking the wife away for Christmas to one of those swanky las vegas hotels.
Another reason I’ve not been posting lately is due to the fact that when I can drag myself out of my bed full of snotty tissues, I am working on a new design for this blog. I don’t like the current one as it hardly ever loads correctly and I can’t figure out how to fix it.
I am starting up an experiment for the next two months (ending February 1st) where there will be audio adverts on this blog and my other blogs. The experiment is to see if they annoy people more than pop-up ads do. All money raised from these ads will be going to charity.
I thought that I would quickly mention, for those of you who might be interested, that Dean has given in to his promise to walk away from blogging and has started up a new blog. You can check it out here and find out just why he is blogging again.
I am running the 2018 London Marathon to raise money for Livability UK in memory of my dad. If you can I'd appreciate any donation you can spare. http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/deansaliba
