I was bored this evening so decided to trawl the internet and I stumbled across a web site that offered some lists of the top 10 songs of various genres. I normally hate these as they are voted on by absolute morons (one even had Marvin Gaye listed in the top 10 best rock songs ever!).

So I came up with my own list.

Below is a list I came up with of the top 10 hard rock songs from the 80s.

1. Tesla – “Modern Day Cowboy” (Listen)
2. Dokken – “Into the Fire” (Listen)
3. AC/DC – “Hell’s Bells” (Listen)
4. Metallica – “Master of Puppets” (Listen)
5. Iron Maiden – “Flight of Icarus” (Listen)
6. Motorhead – “Ace of Spades” (Listen)
7. Judas Priest – “You Don’t Have to Be Old to Be Wise” (Listen)
8. Queensryche – “Breaking the Silence” (Listen)
9. Scorpions – “I’m Leaving You” (Listen)
10. Guns N’ Roses – “It’s So Easy” (Listen)

What do you guys think?

  1. can not agree on your choice of Iron Maiden. I prefer "run to the hills". Much better!

    1. This is what I like about doing this kind of list, it would be so boring if everyone liked the same as everyone else.

I'd be interested to se your own list if you have one.
